Five Dead, Including Two Children, in Russian House Fire

(MENAFN) Five people, among them two children, perished in a residential fire that engulfed a private home in the city of Vyksa, located in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, local emergency authorities announced Tuesday.

The blaze was contained within an area of 80 square meters before suppression operations were brought to a close, according to the regional emergency department. Efforts to formally identify all five victims remain ongoing.

Authorities have launched parallel investigations into both the deaths and the origin of the fire. Forensic medical examinations have been ordered to establish the precise causes of death, while a separate probe is underway to determine what triggered the deadly blaze.

No further details regarding the identities of the victims or the circumstances surrounding the incident have been released as investigations continue.
