Russia Bans Deportation of Foreign Nationals Serving in Armed Forces

(MENAFN) Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law Monday that forbids the deportation of foreign nationals who have served in the Russian Armed Forces, amid the ongoing conflict with Ukraine.

As stated in the official legal document, the legislation replaces administrative expulsion with penalties such as fines or compulsory labor ranging from 100 to 200 hours.

The law also specifies that if these individuals violate rules of conduct as spectators at sporting events, they may face bans from attending venues for periods ranging from one to seven years.
