BIST 100 Rises to Close at 11,060.39 Points
(MENAFN) Türkiye's primary stock index concluded Monday at 11,060.39 points, marking an increase of 0.81% compared to the previous session.
Opening the new week at 11,019.60 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index advanced by 88.87 points from Friday's closing level.
Throughout the trading day, the index fluctuated between a low of 11,011.87 and a high of 11,152.28 points.
In terms of market movement, 72 equities on the index registered gains, whereas 27 stocks saw declines relative to the prior closing.
The aggregate market capitalization of the BIST 100 stood at approximately 10.31 trillion Turkish liras ($246.1 billion), with a daily turnover amounting to 164 billion Turkish liras ($3.9 billion).
Meanwhile, the price of an ounce of gold reached $4,012.10, and Brent crude oil was trading near $64.40 per barrel as of 6:30 pm local time (1530GMT).
On the currency front, the US dollar/Turkish lira rate was 42.0460, the euro/Turkish lira stood at 48.4290, and one British pound exchanged for 55.2180 Turkish liras.
